Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze is Stephen's 69th Let's Play, 35th collaborative Let's Play with Mallory, and the 5th Donkey Kong Country game Stephen and Mal have played on the channel.

Following fans' vote in a Twitter poll, it is the first Donkey Kong Country game to be played blind. It follows a similar format to Donkey Kong Country Returns, where each episode contains exactly 3 levels.
