Stephen has eczema, and takes the time today to formally address it and share his experience with eczema.
When he was younger, he had a red spot on his chest that never itched or burned. That was the first indication that he had eczema, but a few years ago the spot just disappeared.
But then last year during winter, he started to get eczema on his hands, which made his hands red and splotchy. He thought initially that it was psoriasis, which led him to use it as a nickname for Saria from Ocarina of Time which he and Mallory were recording at the time.
He didn't talk about it because he thought it might just go away. But he still had to learn how to take care of it and changed out all the soaps in the house to lotion soaps. And eventually it did clear up once the weather got warmer.
However, going to New York and being in cold weather made it come back, and now he's pretty sure it won't go away.
