Mallory is playing Donkey Kong Country. She is battling the boss Necky who is throwing nuts from its beak. Stephen talks about how he remembers every little thing about this game. He says that he is known for liking Earthbound, but Donkey Kong Country is also important to him. Stephen has put a lot of time into playing the game.
Mal had to go out and do something the other day, while she was gone Stephen suddenly felt like play Donkey Kong Country even though he doesn't normally take breaks like this. He played for 40 minutes and got all the way to the final world of the game since the game is not that long. Today, he came downstairs and found Mal playing it. Mal has been stopping for all the bonus rooms, so she is taking longer to go through the game.
Stephen says that they both worked hard today. They recorded April's and May's mail videos since they had a bunch of mail piling up. They weren't able to record the June mail video because the hard drive they use to record ran out of space. Stephen says that there was a lot of mail for the month of May. He will give the hard drive to Dan to edit later. Stephen says that mail videos are the only videos they don't transfer over DropBix because it takes up too much space.
Stephen thanks people for sending in in Wii games for the Wii/Wii U collection. Mal also thanks everyone who sent in Tim Horton's coffee. Stephen says that they were sent Tim Horton's coffee from multiple places for these mail videos. They also received a crochet Peggy doll. Stephen says that he would show it off, but Kepler is currently sitting comfortably in his lap so he doesn't want to disturb him.
Stephen says that these are the first VlogMail videos they have filmed in the new house. He likes to turn off the AC whenever they record since the sound can be heard in the recording. However, they ended up getting really hot while recording the mail videos upstairs since they had to turn the AC off. So, they plan to film mail videos in the evening so that the temperature is much cooler.
Stephen asks Mal if it is interesting playing through Tree Top Town again since she probably hasn't played it since she did a painting of it. He mentions that if it's a game where Mal can easily play a level, then she will do so before painting it. Stephen then talks about how Donkey Kong Country 2 is better, but Donkey Kong Country is still great.
