Emile and Masae have arrived after a 6 hour drive. Masae met the cats for the first time and loves them. She jokingly says that she will just randomly drive up to their house in order to just to pet the cats. They then go out to eat at Clark's Seafood & Chop House. Stephen and Mallory order the steak and convince Emile and Masae to order it as well.
Back at home, Kepler is playing with catnip toys as Masae excitedly takes pictures of him. Stephen says that Sagan is hiding under the couch because he's scared, but he will get used to them by tomorrow. They decide to do the gift exchange today.
Stephen and Mal receive copies of Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! for the Nintendo Switch since Emile knew that Stephen was interested in playing the Let's Go Pokemon games. Masae gives them a chest with clay models of a sleeping Pikachu and Eevee. Stephen comments that he never knew how popular Eevee was until they went to the Pokemon Center store in Japan where half of the merchandise was Eevee related.
Stephen and Mal heard that Emile wanted to start cooking in 2019, so they gave him a crock pot. Stephen states that this is the year of Chef Emile! Mal exclaims that they forgot to get him a chef hat. Emile says that he started an exercise program recently where he promised to eat out 50% less. He also talks about how it is like torture waiting for crock pots to finish cooking since you can smell the food, but you can't eat it until it finishes cooking in 8 hours. They also give him a baking pan, oven mittens, a cooking thermometer, a cutting board, a cookie sheet, a pizza pan, a pan with a lid, and silicon cooking utensils. Emile states that he hasn't been cooking a lot due to having only a few kitchen tools since he would have to wash them in order to cook again. He also mentions that he was planning on getting a grill soon, so the kitchen tools would be useful.
Emile also gave them 2 Splatoon Nintendo Switch joy-cons since the only way to get a pair of green joy-cons was to order Splatoon themed joy-cons in America and in Japan. Stephen says that he has been playing the Switch in handheld mode more often recently and kept mentioning to Mal how he really wanted green joy-cons. Emile says that Stephen's mom considers him to be her adoptive son and his joy-cons are red (like Mario). So, he thought he would get Stephen green joy-cons so Stephen could be his Luigi. Stephen mentions that when he was younger he used to choose Luigi as his character when playing Mario Party.
They got Masae a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Second Generation (2nd Gen) 2-in, 2-out USB Audio Interface since they know Masae uses a USB microphone and thought it would be nice to give her an audio interface, so she could use XLR devices. Stephen then gave Emile a Splatoon 2 Vinyl OST which Emile didn't even know existed. Emile talks about how he listened to Elvis and Beatles songs when he was younger but never knew why they were only 2 minutes long. As he got older, he realized that it was because they needed to fit multiple songs on a record, so the songs had to be shorter.
Mal tells Emile that there is a gift for him that she hasn't made yet, but would be finished before they go back home. She wanted to create a recipe book for Emile which contains all her recipes. Mal offers to teach Emile how to do any of the techniques in the recipes that he is confused about during their 5 day stay.
Masae gives a bread basket containing a clay model of a piece of toast with the StephenVlog logo and an easel to hold it up. They talk about how anyone who visits them and doesn't know about the toast thing will be confused about why they have a piece of toast on a shelf. Mal recieves a four-leaf clover Hello Kitty plushie. Stephen receives a 1988 alternative cover for Nintedno Power Issue #1 which could only be obtained by sending a mail order to get it. Stephen says that they are almost done collecting Nintendo Power since Chaz had so many of the issues they were missing. They are currently only missing Issues #9 and #276 - #285.
After the gift exchange, they play Smash Versus. Masae shows the StephenVlog keychain that she got from FanGamer and reads the outro on the packaging to finish the vlog. Stephen comments that he is not sure whether the key chains are back in stock yet.
