Previous Vlog (Day 3748) | Next Vlog (Day 3750)

The vlog begins with a sped up clip of Stephen and Mallory putting back Mal's set up in her studio. Mal's last video was her color matching video which required dismantling her whole studio set up, so they had to put everything back. Stephen then goes to the living room and shows people golfing on the golf course across from their backyard. He says that there are always people golfing no matter how cold it is outside. Stephen mentions that it's not that cold today as it's only around 50°F which is kind of cold. But, he says that it has gone down to 30°F before.

Stephen talks about how Mal's getting ready to paint and that's a return to normal work for her. He is in a weird spot because everything on StephenPlays is set for a while and all the vlogs are caught up. Stephen says that he has some old projects that he could catch up on, but he doesn't know if he wants to start on them today. He also has to fix the stream box and OBS since they are both having issues. Then, he shows Kepler bird-watching by the back door. Stephen says that Kepler tends to make these chirping noises when he sees birds.

Later, Stephen is listing off Wii games while Mal alphabetizes the games on the shelves. Stephen says that reorganizing the Wii games is something that they have put off for a while, but it got to a point where games were all over the place. He says that it started to weigh down on them seeing all these disorganized games. They get Wii games in big batches whether it's from buying a ton from a game store or receiving a box of games from VlogMail. Stephen says that they alphabetize the games, but once they get a new game they have to re-alphabetize the games again. So, the alphabetization process isn't permanent since they will continue to collect more games. On the positive side, everything they do now won't have to be done later. Stephen says that the organizing process is a lot since they have 700 Wii games and 500 left to collect. Then, Stephen tells Mal to prepare herself since he's going to list all the Ben10 games now.

While Mal was looking for the Ben10 games, she finds an Alvin & the Chipmunks game. Stephen explains that they couldn't find the game before, so they had put in God of War for the PS4 in as a placeholder. He says that whenever they have trouble finding a game they will just put in a random PS4 game as a placeholder. Stephen talks about how he had a hard time doing the job that Mal is doing right now. When he has his head at a 90° angle, it triggers his vertigo. He explains that quickly looking and grabbing a game is fine though. Stephen says that when they started organizing the games 20 minutes ago, he was the one that was moving around the games on the shelves. But, after organizing for 5-10 minutes Stephen felt like puking due to the vertigo.

Stephen then talks about how they went to Bonefish Grill for dinner since they had a good coupon. It was a coupon for getting another free entrée if you buy one entrée. Stephen says that they had received this coupon in the mail before Sagan's passing. The coupon wasn't on their minds due to all the things that went wrong this past week. So, it was a big deal that they went out to eat tonight. Stephen says that he wouldn't consider it a date night since they had game night after they returned from eating out. This was their first return to game night since they weren't there last week. Stephen says that the past week felt like forever, so it feels weird that they only missed one game night. He says that it felt like they haven't been to game night in months. Stephen says that it felt nice to interact with everyone and they ended up recording an episode of Broken Picturephone.

Stephen says that just released an episode of Broken Picturephone and that was the only episode in reserve, so they had to record another episode. He says that it's a chill and low energy game that they can record since they can just draw and chat. Stephen says that it takes hours to make one episode though because of all the drawings required. But, the recording process is just them going through the books and laughing. Mal adds that complaining about drawing is also a part of the recording process. Stephen says that if they were to do an episode of Broken Picturephone will all drawings, then there would be so much complaining. But, by the end of the episode they are all happy.

Stephen says it's not guaranteed that you will get an equal number of prompts and drawings based on the way that Chaz designed the game. He says that there are nights where the randomizer is not on your side and you will get a bunch of drawings. Mal says that there have been times where she has had to draw for every book. She says that she had 4 drawings and 2 prompts tonight. Stephen comments that there were 8 people, so those numbers should add up to 8. Mal then says that she doesn't remember the exact amount of drawings, but she had to do a lot of drawings today. Stephen says that he had an equal amount of drawings and prompts. He then talks about how they don't know what order they are in the book when they are writing a prompt or drawing. Stephen mentions that he ended up being the one who finished a lot of the books tonight. Stephen he shows his shirt which is covered in cat hair. He says that it's obvious from his shirt that Kepler slept on his lap all night. Stephen says that it was nice hanging out with Kepler.

Then, he talks about how he realized that things will never truly return to normal and that they will have to find a new normal after Sagan's passing. Stephen says that it's been hard, but they've gotten a lot of support from friends, family, and the viewers. He says that they talked to their friends about Sagan and they all traded grief stories. Stephen says that it was nice being able to talk to people who could relate since their friends have pets and some of them have cats. He talks about how he appreciated comments from the viewers so much because there have been so many people who have been down this road. They can offer their condolences and talk about their perspectives when they went through a similar situation. Stephen says that it's nice to see how other people approached situations like this and how they made it to the other side. So, he thanks all the viewers for their comments. He also says that he knows that there are other people watching who are in a similar situation. So, those people might be looking to them to see how they get through this. Stephen says that these people will also read the comments. So, when people leave a comment, it's not only for them, but also for the people who will come along in the future and read those comments and be comforted by them. He says that he loves all the positivity and helpfulness in the community and he knows that other people appreciate it as well.
