Mario Kart

Mario Kart is Stephen's 32nd Let's Play and is a co-op Let's Play with Mallory. It debuted on September 10th, 2013 and went on hiatus on November 10th, 2013, but started back up again on May 31, 2014 after the release of Mario Kart 8.

The Let's Play features multiple Mario Kart games, including Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 8, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Stephen played as Luigi until Episode 4, when he switched to Toad, while Mal played as Princess Peach.

Whoever got the top ranking in an episode got 1 point, and at the end of the Let's Play, whoever had the most points was considered the Ultimate Mario Kart champion. Mario Kart 8 then changed things up by adding face-cam between stages due to copyright claims from Nintendo. The series concluded on July 1st, 2014, where Mal was deemed the Ultimate Mario Kart champion after a tie-breaking Finale.

Four months later, Stephen & Mal returned to the Mario Kart LP to compete in the two Mario Kart 8 cups released via DLC on November 13th, 2014, which included three new characters, two cups of four new tracks, and four new vehicles. Two videos focusing on the two cups were released the following week, in place of a Demo Fridays or First20 video. However, these videos don't relate to the competition, and there is no mention of score or the competition itself to prevent spoilers.

The series started back up again on February 24th, 2024 with Stephen and Mal playing through the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC.

Stephen and Mal also recorded 16 races online with viewers in a StephenPlays tournament, which they released in 4-race segments.
