Stephen has spent the past few weeks trying to figure out the best way to cook brown rice. Today, he tries a different method of cooking brown rice by boiling (and not simmering) it.
...And he fails miserably. It's the worst it's ever been. The problem, as the title suggests, was probably the fact that Stephen kept the rice on a hot burner without any water for a good twenty minutes.
So why the switch to brown rice? Stephen found out recently that he has high cholesterol. He's been trying to make healthier eating choices: cutting out red meat, scrambled eggs with butter, and white rice.
