Stephen Plays Mother 1

First episode of Mother.

Mother is Stephen's 40th Let's Play and his sixth blind Let's Play overall.

It debuted on July 27th, 2014, which also marks the 25th anniversary of the game's NES release, and concluded on September 8th, 2014, with 14 episodes total. This is the second Mother game Stephen has played for an LP, following Earthbound.

It is worth noting that Stephen and his friends created a radio series for Mother called Loids are not Christmas, as part of the Fobbies are Borange series. However, Stephen had never finished Mother despite being a huge fan of Earthbound, and decided to do an LP of it to finally complete the game.

Notes

• The translation of Mother that Stephen is playing is actually the translation done by Clyde Mandelin, known by many as Tomato. Stephen provided a link for the translation for people to try out, which can be found here.
• Stephen is playing the GBA version of Mother, which is part of the compilation release Mother 1 + 2.
• This is one of the most laid-back Let's Plays Stephen has ever done, since he always wanted to do a LP of Mother, but never got around to doing that until now.
• Stephen teased this LP in the Future Let's Plays page of his website as shown by a red square, as well as teasing it on the Schedule page, as a smiley face, and a screenshot of the red square on his Twitter. He has since removed the red square from the Future Let's Plays page on the day the LP came out.
