Stephen and Mallory got up early to get blood tests done. Mal is doing it as part of her annual physical examination, while Stephen is doing it to get his cholesterol levels checked. Last time, his cholesterol levels were doing well and he hopes it stays that way. It takes about a week to get the results, so he will find out then. Stephen's appointment is at 10:00 AM, but they both decided to go in at Mal's appointment time at 8:00 AM to see if they would do it for both of them at the same time since they are already there.
They ended up seeing them at the same time, so Stephen didn't have to wait until his appointment time. Mal doesn't handle needles well, but she was able to stand up and walk out immediately this time. They both go get lunch at a restaurant and pick up groceries afterwards.
Back at home, it is dinnertime and they are having tikka masala with jasmine rice. Stephen says that the nurse did a good job inserting the needle into Mal's arm since the needle puncture is barely noticeable on Mal's arm. Mal says that her arm also didn't bruise this time.
