"Forbidden Lands" Time Lapse

"Forbidden Lands" is the 23rd video game painting by Mal on MalMakes and is her longest video on her channel to date. It also took the most time to paint. Mal started the painting between December 14th and December 22nd, 2016 and finished it on January 12th, 2017, taking just under one month in total to complete.

Mal first played Shadow of the Colossus after Stephen introduced it to her. Stephen has also made a Let's Play of Shadow of the Colossus on StephenPlays.

In the video, Mal said that she found painting the rocks very frustrating and challenging, so she looked up time lapses of other people painting rocks as well as historical paintings to help her. This can be seen in Day 2589 of the vlog.
