The Runaway Guys, also referred to as TRG, are a group of three Let's Players: Emile, Tim, and Jon. Once in a while, they invite a guest to Let's Play a game with them, among them being Josh, Reese, Masae, Tom, and Stephen. They have done many co-operative Let's Plays together and each have their own individual Let's Play channels.
Stephen and Mal were part of three of their invite-only tournaments: Super Smash Bros. (N64), Mario Kart Double Dash!! (GCN) and Bomberman Live: Battlefest (Xbox Live Arcade). At certain conventions, they previously ran a video-game themed game show called Thrown Controllers, often seen on the Vlog whenever Stephen had previously attended a convention. In conjunction with Direct Relief Gaming, they also created and hosted Colosseum, an annual charity event benefiting Direct Relief that began in March 2018 and ended in January 2025. The event featured many of the friends they have collectively made over the years.
They have also been featured on StephenVlog and StephenPlays in various videos, with Stephen himself starring in their Four Swords Adventures LP and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror LP. A behind-the-scenes look into recording Four Swords Adventures was featured on Vlog Day 2161 (linked below).
